act well your part; there all the honor lies

Our goal in the Cass Theatre Department is to introduce students to theatre in a way that sparks interest and life-long passion. We believe that there is a place in theatre for everyone, whether that's acting, directing, managing, or tech. Students have the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone both in and outside of the classroom and gain important life lessons, like collaboration, communication, and leadership. We love watching students grow into performers and supporters of theatre.

What do we do here?

Our Thespian Society is the key component of our Fall One Act Competition performance (October), Winter Toys for Tots Radio Play (December), Literary Competition (March), and Spring Performance (March). They also help plan club day activities and school-related events, such as Trunk-or-Treat. While these events are coordinated by our Thespian Society, all of these opportunities are open to anyone interested in participating.

In the classroom, students are exposed to various aspects of theatre both on the performance side and technical side. Our fundamentals classes showcase their experience with a children's theatre performance for our feeder elementary schools, while the advanced class performs a student-directed one act, which is open for a public audience.

Students!! If any of this sounds interesting to you, join us on BLUE and WHITE Club Days in the theatre during Gold Time! If you cannot attend Club Days, make sure to check our social media pages for any updates and important information.
